Needed to drop off my check for board, March before the snow/ice started up. Also needed to get back before my AI Bentley course started at 1pm.
It was cloudy but the ground and parking lot was crispy but puddly. I saw and felt the icy-ness but also snow plus puddles.
Bonnie and Krystyn was in the office chillin, they were pretty talkative but it was like near 10 or so and the chores went quite done.
I talked with them for a while, got the cats fed, walked around the indoor. Krystyn told me the safest way to get up to Beau's paddock was out the arena door.
I checked the supplements, gave all the horses inside (Peanut, August, Dusty, Tessa, Dokota, Mukey snacks.
I had a case of cat food in my car, I put 2 of the double portions. I only saw Tiger and didnt see puddin the cat that is a mix of black and yellow specks.
Finally up to the paddock to see Beau, his neighbor Mac was very fresh as usual but really frisky and cute. I was able to do some back stepping with Beau, 70 steps,
I saw that he didnt have water again. I got into his paddock and tried to push the giant ice down there was no water at all, I chipped away at the edge and got some water to show on the side. Beau right away got to the edge and put his sweet nuzzle into the small area to get water.
I went back to the barn, got my containers from the car, filled up the waters and headded up the hill. It takes forever to fill the bottles because the watesr temp is so low.
I went back and filled up the pucket up with my bottles, gallon, 2-pints containers, maybe got a gallon almost 2. I had to carry the bottles in my bag because my hand is not strong.
He was happy. I had the carrot snacks that he really likes. I was able to brush him alot hes sheddinga nd I need to get back there so I can get his coat in shape so he can be more comportable. He is the kind of horse that doesn like to have too much brushing with a brush that makes his skin feel too scratched. I get it. I like to feel the softness of my hair being brushed not some pulling and inkind strokes. Hes sensitive skin and fur.
