Only an hour with Beau First Time picking up his feet so GREAT

Beautiful day for heading to the barn, had to be back very quickly.
Left the house at 1230 and was heading back home at 214pm.

All worth the time.

I was going to take some time to do more of the supplemnents but decide time with Beau was most important.

I went up the fields, gave almost all the horses some snacks. Beau was in his paddock, and he was on the other sie of the paddock. He was totally happy to see me. Did our exercises in the paddock.  With all of the strange gate behaviors, its nice to just jump over the fence to get into his paddock. As I was headed over, the horse next to Beau, the sweet (usually) red horse, bit him on the bum. He was not happy but did not retaliate. I didnt understnd exactly.

I walked him over to the other side of the paddock where were would work out today. I gave him an apple to reward him for not being a psycho.

Jumped over the fencing, it felt good not to be  dealing with the gate at the paddock. Maybe Ill always jump the fence.

Well, Jumped over the fence, kept him straight into his exercises. He wanted to back up, and count with me. Its a beautiful thing. He did his turns then just because he was so loving, and kind,

I just tapped his leg and he picked up each foot immediately as I asked, Its a dream come true. He is feeling more like he is relaxed, feeling happy to have company in his paddock. I do lvoe to go there and hang out. Shame of it all, there were many flies on his legs, that really makes him a bit uncomfortable.

I was there before Patti, headed into the paddocks and started to give everyone snacks outside. Sunny and 60s, everyone of the horses was happy.

Patti was working out with Ah_Leah in the arena, she bought a brand new lunging line. Im not sure how thats going to work but she looked happy with her.

Working with Beau today was especially great, he was so interactive and I was able to easily brush him completely. This makes me happy, brushed his face, his back, at the end his tail. All the areas I wanted to brush. then I was able to hug him. Just relaxing on his back area.

I put my head on his back and just laid it sideways, like I used to with Duke. It was so nice, I breathed in and smelt his wonderful horse smell <3 I was just so relaxing.

Strange thing, I saw the kitties looking at me as I walked down the path to the barn, they looked very hungry. Later before leaving in the truck I grabbed my wet food, and again saw the kitties looking at me because they were in the office and in the ailses.
split the wet food into each bowl, then gave them some of my water from the gallon container into 2 of thier bigger bowls. I took a quick pic of them in the hay barn on the table eating.

Only on Saturday, Wes birthday sunday

Its funny, Beau, hes sometimes amazing, I have lots of ideas on my head, I visualize that I will tack him up and walk him. I visualize that hes going to act like he did the last time that I brought him out.

Pattie wasnt able to come to the barn on Saturday, nice and quiet.

I walk up the hill, its just me. but the Larry and Margier end up comind in. I decide to work in the paddock with Beau.

Hes in a nice paddock and I pray he stays there for a long time. But hes been moving about from one of the top of the hill paddocks to another.

Hes on the end now but I think they are doing a part day out with Dusty. I kinda dont like it.

Anyway, I was walking up the hill with a bag of snancks, a brush and the pick for his hoofs.

As I was walking up the hill, he calls to me. its very cool. Anyway I get up there. Still working on his paddock gate manners. Hes ok, really tries.

70s so nice at the barn, quiet

Newer horse, that belongs to the nurse that has 5 total horse, her name if Diane. I met her one night this sumer when I went to the barn to do supplements one night. She was telling me she just saves them from the racetrack. One of the horses was racing with a broken or seriuosly crushed hoof.

Well she is very nice and she has gotten her 5 horse, the 5th horse's name if Artesian xxx, I didnt read the 2nnd name correctly So she has Romeo, Juliett, Millie Aleah and now this one. Very sweet, Patti is very interested in getting to know her. She said she'd love to work with her and that she'd like to meet Diane and talk to her about it. I can imagine that she is thinking about riding another horse. i guess its been a long time for her that she's had Sienna.

Today was good, I spent time in the paddock, stretched out, checked his feet Walked him backwards. Got some beautiful pics of Beau in the sun and the trees.
We walked around the property. Beau, no pushing, easy walking, we went around the barn and its been going good with him. I have been making sure that he is walking but continueally to keep him moving. I want to get back to walking the road. It will be ok to graze we need to eat the grass while we have grass. Before it gets cold, and there is no grass I have to get him walkingn the road.
Today, I didnt want to try too much because the 3 Greenwood trucks, one dump truck and 2 excavators were working on the mound of dirt piling it up and taking it away. I dont like when the work so near the barn, actaully I hate it and think that they shoud avoid going across the barn with the horses all the time.
The young couple with 2 horses were there today. They are pretty quiet and kinda totally to themself. I dont like that they use chains on thier horses at all. I saw her prancing around the arena with that poor horse doing a strange high step that seems terribly unatural.
June wanted to move to our side and move one of the horses over to the other side beasue she does not like the newer couple, thinks that they were maybe a nice loving couple that are both at the barn together and havingn a horse each of their own. They are cute. 2 horses, If June thinks they are hogging the arena, then she must understand that her use of the arena all these years, and comments about having and payign double board, now goes for them. An the newer woman with 5 horsese, she can do whatever she needs to do. Very nice lady.

Monday holiday went for a quick hello :)

Just a quick hello and shared some snacks. its was raining out and both Sienna and Beau were in. I think it would be good for him to be out but since Sienna was in I know that they appreciate the company. Krystyan asked me if I wanted him out for the 2nd half of the day because she is doing 1/2 days with Dusty and Beau. I really like Beau out but I knwo there are all these new horses that are high strung Im hoping that Beau gets back on schedule.

Well we were able to have a good visit, I was going to leave but I thoguht I could pup Beau in the indoor arena do some exercies, let him run and roll, plus do his supplemnts.

So I walked around gave everyone snacks who was in (both Romeo and Muck were in) then brought the good boy out to the arena, he was well behaved. We did his walking backwards and his listening. He worked on his pick up the cloth. He for once picked it up iwth his teeth not just mouthing it for the snacks.

It was a gsreat day. I did his supplemenkts becuase he was dangerously low so I did like about 12. He should be good for 2 weeks. I realized hes not getting cocoa soya anymore maybe he needs it.

I am using the Horseshine maybe instead.

The new mare that is replacing Kinsey inn the mare paddock is very mean to Jolie and Spice.
Yetsterday whenn Margie was returning the horses into the paddock, Juliette was so aggressive at the gate. I was out on the other side of the hay barn and I watched them scary me with thier sort of weak handling of the horses and Juliette pushig Margie around. The way Juliette bites at Jolie makes my heart sad.

Positng pics later. I stayed about 1 1/2 hours not too bad, came to work pretty late.

70s this Saturday, so beautiful Beau was learning and walking so nicely

Sienna was on the cross ties, I could see that she was seeming to be a bit down. No one else was a the barn, just Patti and I. Sienna had a large bump on her neck, I had accidentally touched it and realized that there was something wrong. Patti later told me it was a blood blister, that Keri saw it this week and that she thought that the move of Kristin leaving and Kinsey is out of the mare paddock, Juliette the aggressive new mare of the very sweet lady that has 5 rescue horses may have bit her.

The woman who has these horses as adoptions, spending 650 times 5, for the adoptees is something special. I met her one night at the barn, late. She is a nurse and came over to meet up with her horses late night. I think she may be the nicest person I have met there at Greenwood.

Talkingn to Patti, I asked how Sienna was doingn, she paused, she said just ok. She wasnt riding today Sienna didnnt seem to want to.  Patti told me that Sienna wasnt having the best week. 2 days ago, the were riding on the raod, and She went down on both front legs. Patti said that Sienna lifted herself back up and really tried to continue.

Sienna fell down on her knees on the road this week with Patti riding her, she got back up on her own but Patti is seriously worried about Sienna pushing herself too much.

She really likes to have Patti ride her around the property.

She may think that Sienna is finished being a riding horse, the arena ridinng may not be the only thing that she wants. She said she may ask if she can work with other horses, like the nnew rescue.

There is a rescue horse that the nice lady named xx thats a nurse has recenntly purchased.  Patti wannts a horse to ride around the Greenwood property. She was sayihng that shes worried Sienna doesnt have alot of riding left. She been experiencing lots of issues.

Patti says she is interested in looking at other horses to ride, while keepingn Sienna in shape. but not really riding her.

We talked for a while before I went up to Beaus paddock. He was in Dusty's paddock. Its a nice one and he liked it. The horse in his paddock.

After I Left Patti said that she was talking to June and that June does not like the new pepel on her side and she was trying to get her horse moved over to our side. I was not happy to hear such a negative attitude SHe wanted to move her high demand horse over by August, Beau and Sienna. Not sure when she would not get along with those 2 people. They come and mind their own business and they have 2 horses. Patti was talking like June thought that the rescue horse should be moved away from her other horse family because she was not willing to give more and share the ailse. Not sure whats up with her.

She was on the phone with Patti, saying she was considering leaving to move to NH where her lesson horse is right now. She is sort of leasing a horse up there and spending time here is westford less and less.

Pattie was sharing the positives to moving out, it seems like a crazy sort of conversation.
