Wet and Rainy, Duchess was so patient

Today I took a ride at 2pm.  There were a few riders but when loaded it was quite a few.  Im glad because even on damp days we need to get cash for hay and feed or the winter.  Sheila met me at the office with some crappy news, Jess had quit that week.  Too much picking on her from Bobby.  I think it will all work out but, I was worried. There was a girl that isnt very experienced with the rides (in my opinion) a new girl, Tori and Cassie.
Anyway I was loaded first on the first horse ready . . . Duchess!
She is so beautiful.  She got a little made at Domino trying to pass. The man on Domino was a jerk. Just saying. He spoke to Domino and tried to get him to listen in human to "dont eat the grass".  Well anyway there was alittle girl who had gone riding for the first time on the trail she loved it so much while we were loading, She was getting off and she said Daddy can we go again. Sure enough they went on the second ride.
My ride was ok but my horse kicked butt. She was so on the money. I had never realized just how nice she handled neck reining until a sweet little girl behind me who had told me she was taking lessons for the last year and that she was able to ride 8 horses. I was pretty impressed with her knowledge of the horses.
Well the ride lacked coordinated guides. I miss Enja and Sarah for make sure that the trots made sense. I hadnt seen Cathy in a long while either. I wonder what was going on.
Without Jess and even Amanda things can get too much for the group. I had heard that Kanti was helping out by taking rides with the girls.
Duchess's ride was beautiful and she is very responsive. I would like to ride her again soon.  She is also beautiful. Ill get some pictures from today up soon.  Im putting this one of her pretty face from earlier this summer.  :)
Oh the lead with us I dont know her name but she was nice.  She was riding Datania.  She has a short tail but had a nice ride.  The girl needed extra help on the ride.
Belle again she has a sweet face and looks right at you with her eyes.
Thanks Duchess!

Blue was Fast Today - Wow

Great ride at 10am today. I would have gone at 9am but the rain kept me slow to get up and go. I was cool this morning but it got warm like summer by the time we got back to the barn.  I wore a tshirt and a light stirpped cotton hoodie, no lining. Perfect but too warm when we got back.

I was early for the 10am.  All the horses lots of horses were ready to go I think there wasnt even a 9am.  I could  have had a private ride but its ok. There were only a couple on the trot ride. Sarah and Jess plus James on Andy, a new lady on on Boger Hershey and Steve and me on my sweetie Blue.  When we got there they were putting iodine on a new horse Dallas.  She was pretty.  The horse that didnt feel good last week was out in the field. Young Bobby says that hes getting better but still feeling crappy.  They need to keep her away from others until she's feelin Great again.

Well the ride went great until after the wood box ramp for the trail that goes right for humans at the lake.  Right at the point where we would be riding up the room around the corner and around the lake suddenly a dog came rushing barking toward the horses and we all the walkers and the trotters (large ride too) had to take the sharp corner and double back instead of the wonderful ride around the lake that I love so much.  Oh well so much for dogs.  I was startled at first but I saw Blue not be scared and then Sarah said,  I can go chase it back if we need to. I remembered just how powerful and amazing these horses are.
Blue doing great on the trail.  Fast Horse!

Blue and Dallas eating
Dallas has a white eye like Duke  xoxo and he was a good listener when I was talking to him.

Another beautiful picture of the sweetie Blueberry

Blueberry is Blue's daughter. She was so sweet today she hugged me and bit my zipper. I wish I brought an apple.

This horse's name is Apache. He went on the ride last week too.

Great ride we got in another small trot.  Blue was fast today faster than ever.  Again Blue likes to by one rein and also loves to start riding with a kiss or clicking sound. If I one rein steered him he'd put his ears back.  He was so sweet I spoke with him and petted him the whole ride.

The man James was totally scared off from trotting because I saw Andy kick up his heels when we trotted. It even excited my guy Blue.  Hershey was not as fast as he can be behind me but I think he was getting away with murder. I learned that one of the horses I see all the time is named Sargeant. Im going to try and get his picture up here today.

Sept morning with Hershey, Colleen Tulsa and Sarah

Great to get on the trail again and we had some nice trots.  Hershey was so fresh he seemed kinda tired even for a 1st ride of the day. Saturdays are the best for that.   I drove the Explorer and picked up Colleen. Last night we went to the Hard Rock late night.  We managed to get up and get to Bobby's just in time.  Someone had already picked out Andy.  The boy's name is James I think he had gone with use for a 2 hour onces a few weeks ago.
Any way the ride was great. There is a new guide that I hadnt seen before and she was on Blue up front.  She kicked him hard to get him going. I had to give Hershey some hard turns this week because he was so fresh. I think he was tired.  He stumblied a few times and he stole bushes.
Ill upload some pics later.  Sheila was there but she was busy with lots of farm horse stuff.
It was warm this morning for September. It looked as though we were going to get caught in the storm.  The clouds were hanging over when we went out to the ride. It was hot and cloudy. It didnt take long until the su was shining with blue sky.  Then we heard thunder a few times loudly.
Hershey was kinda fresh on the ride, sneaking leaves and on the trots ending early. I was kind of surprised. I do love riding him I hope he's feeling ok.  Colleen was on Tulsa but she was also slowed up when I looked behind me at Colleen. Colleen was so happy to be riding that she just smiled for 60 minutes straight.  It was nice.  It was warm out and it became very warm.
