All the ride full Ceclia had said come down. . . I got Domino

She said they were full But if I wanted to come down and hang out, she thought I could maybe take a chance to get in on the 2pm.  She said some people may be a no show so its worth a shot.  Well I was at Bourne all day and had a big breakfast after a rocky sleep in the camper.  I couldnt wait to drive back with Raychel and see about a trail ride.  The day was fully booked. I sort of hate that but it means good money for the farm.
Bobby is in Lahey with a terrible heart problem. I need to make sure I keep coming and help pay for my horses.  I was very stressed that Bob is not well.  He's the rock around there that keeps us all coming back.   They said he's been having heart attacks and didnt even know it.  He has a triple bi-pas scheduled for Tuesday (tomorrow).  All of my horse family is worried.
Anyway I got to get in on a ride because 4 people were no shows.
I was happy.  the ride was big.  All the riders were saddle except me and a man.  There were 4 people from Sweden and this family plus tons of other people.  Danny asked me who I wanted to ride. I became silent. The man next to me was about my height, maybe this was the day to ask for Domino.  Sure they suggested Hershey Blue and I asked about Dom and he was ready and wilinng.  Getting on him reminded me that he was way bigger than Hersh.
Well the ride was nice enough.  The sweden girls were behind me and they were happy.  The man was with his daughter and she was fresh.  She was on Cedric and she kept going out of line passing and showing off for her father.  It was annoying.  She was a young girl but still.  The Swedish women were very nice.  I had asked behind me if they had a nice ride after we had made some progress and we were on the long stretch, they mentioned they wanted to cantor. I had said on the more advanced rides and the 2 hour there was opportunity.

Also I had mentioned leasing.  I asked Danny to talk to them more about barns in the area.  She had lots more expereice than I did.  Anyway the ride was unique because the lead was a new woman who was riding Blue.  She was heave set and she didnt trot were the horses were used to it. She actually trotted on a path on the way back from the up hill cut back (that I dont like) on the way passing where we first enter the lake area.  I was so suprised.  Well the ride was good.  The man in front of me seemed happy but I think his daughter was a show off imature.  The women behind me from Sweden were fully qualified but kept to the guide's direction about the trail ride.  I liked them. They were from Winchester, very lovely and considerate. I hope they find a barn they like or come back in the mornings with Kanti, Barb and Cathy for rides.
I loved all the animals.  Where I arrived at the Barn there were about 5 nuns getting off the horses.  It was cool.  I can upload pics later.

New Rider today, Duke and Duchess were both great

i was scheduled to ride at 1pm on Sunday.  Because I had ridden Friday it was even better to get a ride in on Sunday.  I had made a 1pm res and thinking that I should have gone earlier.  The good thing is Joe was coming over to help take apart the old hot tube.  Ashley was over and she didnt exactly want to work on the trash of the hot tub.  This opened up a great opportunity to go riding with Ashley for the first time.  What a great idea.

Leaving work for a Ride Today what a great day with Blue

What a great afternoon.  Left work to catch a 4pm ride with Sheila.  There were 6 others on the ride and the whole family was 30+ late.  It was a drag.  Just as Cassie was deciding that we should go without waiting, the group's car arrived.  There was a woman with 5 children on the ride.  I was hoping that we got on the trail before the late people arrived.  Cassie thought they may not be coming.  Traffic was very busy and you needed to leave early to avoid it.  I was able to ride Blue.  He was very good listening. Although the ride wasnt a trot ride, (one of the children was tethered with Cassie).  Domino was behind me and the two horses Blue and Domino get along pretty good.  They seem to have a mutual respect for each other.  When driving into the farm, Tulsa was not in the fence, she was not sick anymore and she was on the trail ride leading.  Good girl.

9am finally with the Girls, Duke, Kanti, Barb, Foxie, Cassie and Amanda.

It may be considered the nicest day.  The temp was about 50 this morning. I dressed warm but I didnt need it.  Barb was waiting on the chairs and I could hear Kanti's voice in the barn.  When I was driving in I saw Tulsa in the outside field, away from the other hroses.  I felt worried.  Was she sick too.  Later I spoke with the newer girls and they said that Cash, Tango were in a separated field with Tabo.  But I heard that their fever went down and Tabu's sores were opening.  I feel so sad for the horses when they dont feel well.  Its not fair.

Cassie signed me in.  The girls were talking about how difficult the last week and this week were with so much busniess and not as many guides to do all the work.  I felt for the girls.
This morning was amazing.

They had Duke ready for me and Barb told me exciting stories on the ride about riding in Hollywood Hills.  She sent me an article she wrote about her rides there.  It was very interesting. She said she was a writer.  We told stories and the ride was nice.

Barb on Foxie, I had a nice ride with her at the end of the line
Duke did a good job listening to me.   I had carrots and was ready to ride. We had a young girl on the ride if we hadnt I think it would have been a 9am cantor.  We had some trots.  One of the finest ones is the up the hill around the corner and down by the lake up the hill.  its the nicest trot.  I loved being on Duke.  He is so sweet, he listned to me and also trotted a bit to pick up the space in the line just by me asking.   I was again proud of him.

Beautiful lights coming through the trees
We had a lovely ride and the young woman did good, Cassie have her lots of information to help her do an advanced ride.  Next week Im coming at 9am  Kanti says her sister will be in town and I might be able to meet her.  I cant wait.

At the end of the ride, everyone was saddling up for the next bunch of people and I was just standing at the fence watching all the interaction of the horses and guides.  I enjoy it so much.  It quieted down and I had a great opportunity to give Duke the carrots he deserved.  All I had to do was call his name and he turned around by my voice.  I was able to give him carrots.  It was so satisfying to let him know how much I love him.  I was unaware but Sarah was watching me as she and the other riders were coming in, she said, "I see you giving Duke treats".  I was caught.  Glad I was able to treat him.
Later I gave out carrots to Domino, the minis, the little donkeys, Sargent, Winston.  I was scared to give Tango, Cash and Tabu any because I was worried they may be sick and not have any food that could ulpset them.  I stayed around and loved the animals and left for the day.  Its so hard to leave the farm each weekend.  Next week will be great Im sure.

Again so much filtered light coming through the trees

Beautiful Duke

Havent seen Smokey on a ride since last June or May.  Wow this is great to have him back, with Sarah.
