24 degrees today still windy cold

Sunday was a good day. I was doing lot so f things at home, but still wanted to go over to barn. Beau was good yesterday but oh today he was great.

Krystyn texted me that Beau had gotten his blankets all tangled up today and he ended up peeinng on his plaid blanket.

I have been trying to give Beau a total run down with the curry comb ever the past few weeks. I go from top to bottom and then ask him to give me he leg. Its goig better. He lifts it but Im not comfortable grabbing it because he kicks it.

Also we are goig on the cross ties regularly. I even left him there to go get my cosequin to keep in the drawer in the office.  I last week I put the Irish Spring in the drawer I hope it will keep mice from getting into the drawer and getting into the supplements. Its scary because if the mice poop gets into the food it could get him very sick.

So I onnnly had the left over snacks, peppermint pieces of brown nuggets. pretty small too.

I gave everyone one. I especially love Muke and Dusty but give snacks to the goats too.

So cold out. I didnt bring himoutside becaue they have the gater blocking one side of teh ailse and the other door was jammed shut.

What he did right!

He round penned so good, ran around and did not charge me silly like

He stood still for a while on the mounting block.

He changed sides when we walked together each time. He did run away or even play iwth Cisco too much.

Stayed on the cross ties w.o complaining or being fresh for a long time.

19 was the high for the day only for about an hour

Beau was safe in his stall very happy to see me. Just some excerciese, I did not want to take off his 2 blankets because it was just too cold.
Only me and Patti all day.
I did not cross tie him today just in the arena, He was sort of not too energitic. He did all of this excersises and must have stepped back around 100 times, annd we are back on our turns. He now has been staying on the correct side of me as we walk just when I ask him to move.
He rolled he pooped he rolled 3 times as usual. The I felt like, maybe he wants to go on the lungeline, well we walked and he wuld not go into the trot or walk really at all. I followed him around he only went as a walk. We did do about 4 circles ad then with a terrible pull he took off with the lunge lines blaring behid him. I was mad. But I did not do anythnig. i really felt like I did something worng to have him respond. I want to, always leave on a good note but he sort of stoppe dall of the training with his bad behavoior.

Went over 1pm after flooding rain, 45 degrees

Got a tezt that Sienna wasnt dong well with her feet. Patti said Jack went over right away, took of the shoes on Sat and shes resting comfortably. I got the text Patti was at the barn and Sienna wasnt feel good at all.

Shauna was there with her daugher, she about Val's age, super cute. Patti said that Rebel and her daughter were riding in the arena toether, it seemed so sweet. the little girl was sweeping and doing chores.

Patti was there for a while

horses were inn after the horrible rains last night, snow stomor with 14 inces of stow on monday and then on Wed 3 inces or rain, Firday ight 2 more inches of rain. The barn is pretty wet.

Patti said I missed Kristie thats good. Horsee were in and they were edgy. I brought some carrots for snacks. My turck was flooded so I figured I wwould open the back and edry it out.

Hundreds of blue birds in the fields jumping and playing in the gras it was a sight to see. stopped what I was doing just to see it beautiful blue on the birds

Beau was sweet as can be as usual, he listend great in teh arena.

He gets super frisky when. try to round pen him.

Went into the arena then outside to the field then the paddock of the ladies.

Big snow tonight, Beau was a gentleman

Went over to the barn around 1pm to to just check in with Beau, Sienna and Patti.
had to get ready for Chase at 4pm so I did lots of chores first and checked in with Patti to see how she was, if she was home fro Waltham, she was doing soem chorses and was going over later.

Proud of his patience, pickng up his feet, being good while walking, kissing me through the bars, kissing me as I do his feet basically being a good friend.

had tons of apples because bob said that they had buises, they looked pretty good so lucky horses.

I went into the barn and made sure that my big boy Muke had his apple, hes such a sweet boy, an apple. He makes the sweetest faces. He even took a cookie from me.

I brought the apples up gave one to everyone almost. Joliet, Spicey, Kinsey, August, I had to throw one to Peanut because his paddock was so crappy that I think he was not going near the edges becuase the mud had frozen and it was terrible footing. I throw it over to his hay, he saw it and went over.

For once, Joliet did not lunge at Spicey when I gave her an apple. I took a picture of her i was so happy.

The new horse, so pretty, her water was frozen solid and there were big poops on the top froaen in I felt bad for her. I gave her an apple too.

The new mare is so sweet at the end of the day she was just so precious, we dumped out her water barrel with the poop frozen hard into the bucket shape.

Both Patti and I grabbed a bucket of water and brought it her.

it was so funny we were so worried about the horses and whether we should bring Sienna in and Joliet snuck out.

I brought the pitch fork up toclean out the paddock and the poops were pretty frozon to the ground. I was only able to move 3 of them.

I took off the blanket and brushed Beauout. He doesnt like it. So many years giving Suke a spa treatment, Beau doen not like the attenntion or the adoration. he seems to have pretty sinsitive skin.

He picked up 2 of his feet to day. i gave him a treat. He really was an excellent boy.

Dusty was next to him, they moved the pen up next to Beau. I think that Beau wasnt as happy about it, hes moved away from the gate maybe because Dusty is right at the end.

As I brushed him and took him out of the paddock, he was a gentleman walking, listening to me as I had him do his exercises. He was better than anytime I have ever wwalked him down the path. There was no grass to steal and his little girlfriend, he didnt jump arounnd like a jerk.

At the nd of the day, after BEau was in the stall, and I was cleaning up put his blanket back on and, got Duke's beautiful blanket, the Irish one, blue stripes, for when it gets colder on Monday.

Beau is so cute, he sticks his nose in the bars and I give him a kiss, he wiggles his nose. Its really cute, then he licks me.

Before I lelft I remembered to check on the supplements, sure enough they were low only 4 left so I went out to my truck with the bags and opened the hitch and strte4d to fill soem bags, when as I was doing that a strange diesel truck was pulling up as I was getting ready to go out, there were parked close to the paddocks and then Spicey started going crazy. Me and Patti didnt know what was going on, the guys drove back into the horse area it was weird, he drove his truck behind the barn and then around and drove out an dparked at the tralers.
Krystyn drove in quick and she ran out, she told us that Joliet had escaped and we culdnt think of how. She snuck out from the paddock edge and took off.

the man in the truck was helping he lived at the trailder.
